What We Believe
At Rooted Pathways Counseling and Consulting, we believe that true healing begins with understanding your origins—your personal experiences, culture, and identity. By nurturing your roots, we help you build a strong foundation grounded in self-awareness and acceptance. From this place of understanding, we work with you to overcome obstacles, break free from limitations, and inspire liberation—empowering you to live authentically, free from the constraints of past struggles or societal expectations. Our goal is to support your journey toward personal growth, resilience, and true freedom.
What Sets Us Apart
Rooted Pathways is unique in its focus on culturally competent, trauma-informed care that centers on relationship building and de-stigmatizing mental health issues. The practice reflects the lived experience of its founder, Nadia Abuamouneh, who is a child of immigrants and passionate about serving the communities that shaped her own experiences.
Our approach is centered on de-stigmatizing mental health care and fostering healing through relationships and connections. The practice emphasizes that true healing does not happen in isolation but is a collective, interconnected process. By exploring the roots of personal histories, cultural backgrounds, and familial influences, clients are empowered to confront their pain, fostering resilience and liberation from past traumas and societal expectations.

In this chaotic world, feeling broken is part of our shared human journey. The weight of helplessness, the shadow of sadness, and the sting of loss touches us all. But here's some truth- it's perfectly okay. Tears are welcome with me, feeling overwhelmed is alright, and allowing yourself to break is valid. You are never alone in these emotions and there is nothing wrong with you!
Much like the sturdy roots of a tree, delving into the intricate tapestry of our personal histories, cultural backgrounds, and familial influences provides a foundation for self-discovery and resilience. Exploring these roots in therapy enables you to confront and comprehend the sources of your pain and challenges, ultimately fostering a deeper understanding of yourself. By excavating the roots of your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, therapy becomes a transformative journey toward liberation—a process where you can liberate your mind from the constraints of past traumas, societal expectations, and self-imposed limitations.
In a world that often emphasizes individual journeys, I recognize that healing is often a collective and interconnected process...I want to show you how to heal. I want to be your guide. It would be my honor.
